We are seeking a qualified Co-educator to assist the classroom teacher to provide a happy, caring, encouraging and safe learning environment.

About the Role:

The Learning Assistant is responsible for:

  • Implementing programs and Interventions with small groups or individual students;
  • Working with a range of students to support student outcomes;
  • Informing relevant staff of progress or concerns they may have about the pupils they work with;
  • Implementing relevant strategies to support the outcomes of those with special educational needs and disabilities;
  • Present as a visible part of teaching during each phase within the Teaching and Learning Model (TLM);
  • Communicating effectively and sensitively with pupils to adapt to their needs and support their learning;
  • Safeguarding pupils’ wellbeing by following statutory guidance along with school policies and practice.
Key requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Subject and curriculum knowledge;
  • Knowledge of school processes and curriculum e.g. MYP/Leader in Me program (desirable);
  • Knowledge of effective strategies to support students with individual needs
  • The ability to communicate effectively with students and staff members;
  • Effective organisational skills;
  • An ability to adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs;
  • High level of accuracy and note taking skills;
  • Strong Information and Communication Technology skills;
  • Effective time management.

The school is seeking suitably qualified and experienced applicants to undertake the role of a casual/part time Bus Drivers to transport students to school in the morning and home in the afternoon.

  • Casual position
  • Located in south east Melbourne, close to public transport
  • Great working environment
About the Role:

Oakleigh Grammar manages customisable private buses services from 10 to
24 seats offering safe and friendly door-to-door pick-ups and drop-offs across Melbourne’ eastern and south eastern suburbs.

While the work requires  a minimum of approximately 4 hours per day (broken into two shifts per day) during school terms only, there may be the option of additional hours driving students on excursions or other trips.

Key requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) card
  • Current first aid certifications HLTAID001 and HLTAID003
  • A Light Rigid (LR) driver’s licence is essential, and a Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence is desirable.
  • Experience driving school buses
  • An adaptable and flexible approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to positively engage with young children.
