Arrowsmith Coordinator
We warmly welcome the new students who have joined the Arrowsmith Program in Term 3. It has been a busy and productive term, with assessments underway to support the transition of our new students and evaluate their suitability for the program.
This term, we introduced a weekly award recognising students who have pushed themselves beyond their expected outcomes in their respective cognitive exercises. The Arrowsmith Program involves highly intensive cognitive exercises, with students’ engagement and progress monitored in real time during each session. The weekly award celebrates students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, focus and progress across both areas.
Importantly, the award also provides encouragement and motivation for all students to approach their learning with mindfulness, consistency and determination.
We wish Mrs Papadakis a wonderful and restful period of long service leave and look forward to welcoming her back in Term 4. During her absence, Mrs Stella Kyritsis will be supporting the Arrowsmith Program. Mrs Kyritsis is a trained and experienced Arrowsmith teacher who has previously worked within the program at Oakleigh Grammar.
