New Accelerated Subject 2027: General Mathematics Units 1 & 2 for Year 10 students. 

We are delighted to announce an exciting new opportunity for our students in 2027. 

Due to the high level of student interest, Oakleigh Grammar is proud to introduce General Mathematics Units 1 & 2 as an accelerated subject for Year 10 students. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to experience a VCE Mathematics subject while still in Year 10, allowing them to develop their mathematical knowledge, skills and confidence at an earlier stage of their secondary education. Students who successfully complete General Mathematics Units 1 & 2 will also have the opportunity to continue with General Mathematics Units 3 & 4 studies in the following year. 

The Senior Mathematics team is extremely excited about this initiative and is committed to providing our students with the guidance, encouragement and academic support they need to succeed. With this new class, we will have three General Mathematics Units 1 & 2 classes running in 2027, reflecting the strong interest and growing participation in senior mathematics at Oakleigh Grammar. 

Our experienced Senior Mathematics teachers are ready to support students throughout their VCE journey, both in the classroom and beyond. Students will also have access to after-school tutoring and mathematics support each weeknight, providing additional opportunities to consolidate their learning, ask questions and build confidence. 

We are very proud to be able to offer this accelerated pathway and look forward to seeing our students embrace this exciting opportunity in 2027.
