There was a buzz in the air at Oakleigh Grammar's annual Business Breakfast on Thursday 27 August, as business leaders, community members, sponsors and special guests gathered for a morning of networking, inspiration and connection.

In its eighth iteration, the event once again proved to be a highlight on the School’s event calendar, bringing together a diverse audience from across Melbourne's south-east while raising valuable funds for an important school project.

This year's breakfast featured two distinguished keynote speakers: Brandon Chizik, Founder and CEO of RSEA Safety, and Justin Peckett, former St Kilda AFL player and Director of Leading Teams.

Guests were treated to an engaging and insightful Q&A between Brandon Chizik and Oakleigh Grammar Business Manager Elizabeth Chackola, where Brandon shared his entrepreneurial journey, leadership philosophy and the remarkable growth story behind one of Australia's most recognised workplace safety brands. Justin Peckett then shared his reflections on elite sport, organisational culture and high-performance leadership, drawing on his extensive professional sporting experience and work with Leading Teams.

Attendees also heard from Oakleigh Grammar Principal Mark Robertson, Business Network Convenor Vic Rajah, and special guest Bank of Sydney CEO Kieran McKenna.

The event achieved two significant milestones, recording the highest number of event sponsors in its history and generating a record level of fundraising revenue. Funds raised from the event will contribute towards the refurbishment of the school's inner courtyard, creating an enhanced outdoor learning and recreational space that will benefit students across all year levels.

Principal Mark Robertson reflected positively on the event: “The 2026 Business Breakfast was highly successful, with two outstanding presenters, in a convivial atmosphere over a sumptuous breakfast.   My gratitude is extended to all sponsors of the morning and for the great support and partnership we have developed with the business community in favour of our School.”

The atmosphere throughout the morning reflected the event's growing reputation, with guests making valuable business connections before and after the formal program while enjoying opportunities to engage with fellow professionals, leaders and members of the Oakleigh Grammar community.

Oakleigh Grammar extends its heartfelt thanks to the event sponsors, whose generous support helped make the morning possible. Their ongoing commitment to education and community development is deeply valued and appreciated.

Special thanks are extended to Platinum Sponsor Bank of Sydney, Gold Sponsors DMC Group and Neos Kosmos for their valued support, along with Pinwheel & Co, whose outstanding catering contributed to the warm and welcoming atmosphere enjoyed throughout the morning.

The annual event continues to grow in significance each year, reflecting Oakleigh Grammar's commitment to fostering meaningful connections between education, business and the broader community while creating opportunities that benefit current and future students.
