Oakleigh Grammar inducts its 2026 student leaders

Oakleigh Grammar has proudly inducted its 2026 School leaders from the Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools.

The ceremony brought together students, staff, families, and members of the Board of Management to celebrate the spirit of servant leadership and the important role student leaders play within the School community. The Assembly opened with an Acknowledgement of Country, followed by the National Anthems of Australia and Greece, and an Opening Prayer led by student leaders. The occasion also included a Chinese New Year parade to mark the Year of the Horse, with students coming together to celebrate culture and the rich diversity of the Oakleigh Grammar community.

In his address, Principal Mark Robertson reflected on the vital role student leadership plays in bringing the School’s values of Humility, Aspiration, Respect, and Kindness to life. He encouraged leaders to inspire their peers, act with integrity, and embrace every opportunity to contribute positively to the community. Chair of the Board of Management, Mr Chris Damatopoulos, also challenged students to lead with courage, compassion, and faith, modelling the character and purpose Oakleigh Grammar seeks to nurture in all its students.

During the formal induction, more than 60 students across the Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools, alongside Student Representative Council members from Years 6 to 11, received their leadership badges, signed the Leadership Book, and pledged to serve the Oakleigh Grammar community with dedication, wisdom, and heart.
