The Year 3s had a wonderful adventure this week attending the Royal Botanic Gardens, and the Shrine of Remembrance to complement their studies on community and remembrance.
The students enjoyed touring the gardens and learning about the plant’s significance, and about aboriginal bush tucker. They undertook aboriginal finger painting with ochre paint, held aboriginal artefacts, and witnessed a welcoming ceremony.
From there they walked through the Shrine of Remembrance and participated in a commemoration ceremony.
What an amazing day, and they were very lucky to have glorious Melbourne weather!
