I am pleased to report the results of our Graduating Class of 2018 demonstrated that our students overall performed to their potential. During the course of their final VCE Year our 2018 students have shown personal attributes of commitment and effort across all learning areas. I congratulate our teaching staff for their mentoring of all students and particularly acknowledge our student’s contribution to school life.
This year we had one of our smallest cohorts of students in their final VCE year. It was noted that we had significant strength in the middle band and we had fewer students in the lower band of the ATAR. It was also evident we did not have the same academic strength in the higher band compared with recent years.
Special congratulations to our Dux for 2018 Agapi Zoi with an ATAR of 86.1. Agapi is very pleased as she is hoping to pursue her career in Arts / Law. I wish to commend, Rigas Giovanis (85) and Charley Jansz (83.55), for their scores and trust they will also have options to pursue their future careers. Importantly, our student’s tertiary offers will reflect the fact that they have achieved ATAR Scores which will allow them to pursue their course of interest.
I wish to particularly note our students performance in Greek-LOTE and our teacher Mrs Kiki Kousourakis who was pleased with the performance of her students overall. In particular, I commend Antonis Stamatakos and Angeliki Stamatopoulou who achieved study scores over 40 in this subject.
Congratulations are extended to all VCE students and their families and we look forward to our new Alumni members joining us in support of our great School.
I wish all families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
