Our Year 6B students were busy in Science class this week, conducting experiments with sugar!
Students tested their hypothesis of whether temperature would affect the saturation levels of water, regarding the absorption of sugar crystals.
Initially the students added sugar crystals to water until the solution reached a saturation point. They then heated the solution for four minutes to then see if additional sugar could be added to the solution.
They found that indeed additional sugar could be added and that their hypothesis was correct, as they were able to dissolve the sugar. The gallery below depicts the students in their element.
