Year 6 Community Art Project

Earlier this week four Year 6 Oakleigh Grammar students participated in a community art project as part of the visual arts curriculum.

Maria Patrikiou, Keerat Kaur, Stephen Pliatsikas and Georgiana Petridis worked alongside an artist on the school grounds, then went out to the Atkinson St car park to complete their installation using stencils on the concrete pillars to create murals.

The space provided came with an ‘Oasis’ theme brief, and was organised by Ms Dianne Nash who described the activity as, “an amazing collaborative and vibrant community arts project.”

It will be open to the public at the end of the month, but until then, check out the gallery of behind the scenes photography below.
