K3 Creates Stop Motion Movie

After reading “Jack and the Beanstalk’ the children started acting out the story. We recorded their version of Jack and the Beanstalk, and decided to make a stop motion movie.

The children used box construction and puppets as props for their movie. After this they recorded each scene by taking consecutive photos on the ‘stop motion’ app. Once the movie was recorded the children recorded their voices to narrate the movie.

They wanted to show the rest of the ELC and their parents, so we created posters and tickets for everyone, and had a ‘premiere’ this week. Students and parents were provided with popcorn on arrival, and we even sang a song about a giant!
