Humans of Oakleigh Grammar: Dimitra Stafylidou, Grade 2P

What do you like most about school?
I like that you learn so much and grow the leader in you.

What is your favourite subject at school?
I have to say it’s geography. It’s one of my favourite things to learn about.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I’m not really sure…maybe I’ll be a teacher. Maybe I will teach maths.

Which of the 7 habits is your favourite and why?
I have to say Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood because I always like listening. I’m not a very talkative person so that’s just what I usually do.

Why do you think it’s important to be a leader?
It leads you to be successful when you grow up.

What are some challenges that you have faced at school?
Definitely learning new things and not knowing what they are at first. But then you get into it and you can become a master at anything you like.

What did you learn from those challenges?
Mistakes help you learn.

Tell me about a time when you helped somebody. How did it make them feel? How did it make you feel?
They were feeling down and I cheered them up. It made me feel happy and I think they felt happy as well.
