This week our Year 2 students were taken on an excursion to Yarrabee Yesterdays World in Greenvale. The students were able to explore the turn of the century school and home run, experiencing what life would have been like for country children in the olden days.
They were taught how to play Toss the Pancake, sat in a vintage classroom with old wooden desks, and learned all about how naughty children were disciplined back then. It’s fair to say they’re happy they were born in this era!
All students wore period dress and accessories to really get into character! They were also taught how the domestic chores were done, without electricity, hot water or gas!
It was a really successful day! Be sure to check out the photo gallery below to see the students in action.
