Class of 2016 Make Us Proud

Congratulations to the class of 2016. The Dux for 2016 is Oakleigh Grammar School Captain, Michaela Takos. Michaela is hoping to pursue studies next year in the biomedical field. She has been a passionate and diligent student, who found time between study to perform her duties as School Captain with exceptional care and attention to detail. Her approach to her VCE studies has been an exemplary model for those following her to aspire to. Michaela has been an active participant in the Monash Scholar Program since Year 10. She is joined in the top three by her fellow Monash Scholars, Phillipos Kormos and Perry Katapodis.

Over one third of the student cohort have achieved ATAR scores over 80. This result is a record achievement for Oakleigh Grammar and potentially means many of our students will obtain entry into their desired courses in January when offers are made by Tertiary Institutions. In addition, Oakleigh Grammar has also had a record number of students achieve study scores of 40 or more this year. Of note are Dimitris Antonopouolos, Christina Katatriori and Erini Souli who achieved study scores over 40 for LOTE- Greek. Scores of 40 were also achieved in English, Legal Studies, Business Management and Informatics.

Whilst we congratulate the higher achievers, we also commend all the students who attained their personal best. Our students have met the challenges of VCE with responsibility, perseverance and dignity.
